Shuppz Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy
Clarifies merchant responsibility, shopper expectations and Shuppz’s limited marketplace role for returns, refunds and cancellations.
Shuppz is currently a pre-incorporation Early Beta project. These documents are tailored to the current Shuppz product and are intended to govern the Beta framework, but the formal operator identity, legal contact, formation jurisdiction and any jurisdiction-specific dispute provisions must be completed and reviewed by qualified counsel before production commercial launch.
1. Marketplace role
Unless a transaction screen expressly states otherwise, the merchant—not Shuppz—is the seller or service provider responsible for the underlying goods or services.
Shuppz may facilitate discovery, a deal lifecycle, redemption evidence or communication, but does not thereby become the merchant of record or guarantee merchant performance.
2. Merchant policy disclosure
A merchant must clearly disclose any material return, refund, cancellation, booking, expiration or redemption condition before the shopper commits to the transaction where applicable.
A merchant policy cannot waive rights that applicable law makes non-waivable.
3. Defective, misdescribed or unfulfilled offers
A merchant must address goods or services that are materially defective, materially misdescribed or not provided as promised in accordance with applicable law and the merchant’s disclosed policy.
Shuppz may preserve platform evidence such as claim, redemption or completion state to support dispute review but does not guarantee a particular outcome.
4. Cancellations
A cancellation right depends on the merchant’s disclosed terms, the type of product or service and applicable law. Time-sensitive events, reservations, perishables or custom goods may have different lawful rules.
A merchant should not impose a cancellation restriction that conflicts with mandatory consumer law.
5. Market Days and campaigns
Participation in a Market Day, Drop, Flash Sale, Clearance or other campaign does not reduce a shopper’s statutory rights.
Campaign-specific timing, inventory and redemption conditions must be stated clearly by the merchant.
6. Shuppz fees
The current Early Beta does not require payment to join. If Shuppz later charges a platform fee directly to a user or merchant, the refund treatment for that fee must be stated in the applicable paid-service terms.
7. Disputes and support
Shoppers should first use the merchant or in-product support path presented for the transaction. Shuppz may help route a dispute or preserve platform records but is not required to reimburse a merchant’s obligation unless a separate agreement or law says otherwise.
