Understand Shuppz before you use it.
Clear answers about demand-first commerce, shopper intent, merchant control, Campaign Studio, Market Days, accounts, security, Beta limitations and governance.
What Shuppz is. What Shuppz is not.
Shuppz is still in Beta. These answers describe the current product truth rather than promising features or commercial outcomes that do not yet exist.
Shuppz basics
What is Shuppz?
Shuppz is a demand-led marketplace and commerce coordination platform. Shoppers can discover businesses, follow interests and express what they are looking for. Participating businesses can review relevant demand signals and decide whether to respond with a product, Deal, Drop, campaign, Market Day participation or another appropriate sales moment.
What does “demand-first commerce” mean?
Traditional marketplaces usually begin with what businesses list for sale. Shuppz adds the other side of the equation: what shoppers are actively interested in. A demand signal can help a business evaluate opportunity before deciding what, if anything, to create.
Does a shopper signal guarantee a purchase?
No. Search activity, follows, interests and “I Want This” requests are expressions of interest. They are not purchase orders, reservations, guarantees, credit commitments or promises that a shopper will buy.
Does Shuppz guarantee sales, revenue or conversion?
No. Shuppz can help surface relevant shopper interest and marketplace opportunities, but merchants remain responsible for commercial judgment and Shuppz does not guarantee demand volume, sales, conversion, revenue, inventory reduction or business outcomes.
Is Shuppz an advertising dashboard?
No. Campaign Studio is designed to help participating businesses choose a sales-response format around an opportunity. Shuppz is not represented as a general-purpose media-buying platform, ad exchange or guaranteed customer-acquisition service.
For shoppers
What can shoppers do in Shuppz?
Depending on Beta availability, shoppers can discover businesses and offers, follow businesses, categories and interests, explore Market Days, claim eligible Deals and use “I Want This” to describe something they are looking for.
What is “I Want This”?
“I Want This” is a shopper-intent feature. It lets a shopper describe a product, service, price range, category or experience they want. It creates a demand signal for marketplace discovery; it does not create a binding order or force a merchant to respond.
How does following work?
Following helps Shuppz make discovery more relevant over time. A shopper may follow participating businesses, categories or interests. Following does not guarantee that every item or offer from a followed business will be shown.
Are Shuppz reviews open to anyone?
No. The Shuppz review model is intended to be transaction-verified. A shopper should be able to review only after the relevant Deal or purchase lifecycle reaches the required redeemed or purchased and completed state.
For merchants
What does a merchant see from shopper demand?
Shuppz may surface relevant demand signals or aggregated opportunity information that a business can review. The merchant decides whether the signal matters commercially and whether to respond. Shopper intent is not a guaranteed sale.
What is Commerce Profile?
Commerce Profile is the merchant-facing business profile used to organize relevant business identity, products or services and commercial context that Shuppz needs to support discovery and marketplace participation. It does not give Shuppz authority to operate the merchant’s business.
What is Campaign Studio?
Campaign Studio helps merchants choose purpose-built sales formats such as Deals, Drops, Flash Events, Clearance, Launches, Market Days and service or dining windows. It is not intended to become a generic email-marketing or advertising dashboard.
What is a Shuppz Market Day?
A Market Day is a shared discovery moment that can bring multiple participating businesses and shoppers together around a theme, category, place or moment. Each merchant remains independent and controls its own offers, inventory, capacity and commercial terms.
Does Shuppz control a merchant’s prices or inventory?
No. Merchants retain commercial control. Shuppz may surface an opportunity or prepare product workflows, but the participating business decides what to offer, at what price, in what quantity or capacity, and whether to act at all.
Accounts & security
Why does Shuppz verify my email?
Email verification confirms that you control the address used for your account. Registration verification is separate from login multi-factor authentication.
Why do I receive a 6-digit code after entering my password?
For password sign-in, Shuppz requires a fresh email OTP before creating the final authenticated session. A correct password alone does not enter the shopper experience or Merchant OS.
What does “Recognize this device” do?
It helps Shuppz distinguish familiar from new devices for security context. Under the current Beta policy it does not bypass the mandatory email OTP after a fresh password login.
Can I use a passkey?
Where supported, Shuppz can offer passkey sign-in using a device authenticator such as Windows Hello, Face ID, Touch ID or a device PIN. Passkey availability depends on the browser, device and valid WebAuthn origin.
Does Shuppz store my biometric information?
No. A passkey authenticator verifies you on the device. Shuppz stores the public credential material needed to verify authentication, not your fingerprint, face scan or passkey private key.
Early Beta
What does Early Beta mean?
Shuppz is an evolving product. Features, availability, workflows and commercial terms may change as the platform learns from real participation. Beta does not mean sample activity can be presented as real activity; Test Mode and illustrative examples must remain identified.
Is Shuppz currently a registered corporation?
The public governance materials currently identify Shuppz as a pre-incorporation Early Beta project. Formal operator identity and jurisdiction-specific terms must be completed before production commercial launch.
Is it free to join the Beta?
The current public Beta entry is presented as free to join with no payment required. That does not promise that every future Shuppz product or merchant service will always be free. Future paid features or commercial terms should be disclosed before they apply.
Does Shuppz hold money in escrow?
No current public claim should describe Shuppz as an escrow provider. If a future payments or funds-flow capability is introduced, it must have its own accurate disclosures and governance.
Governance, privacy & feedback
Where can I read Shuppz policies?
The Governance Hub contains the public Terms of Use, Privacy Notice, Early Beta Terms, Cookie & Tracking Notice, Merchant Terms, Data Processing Addendum, Returns and Cancellation Policy, Acceptable Use Policy and the Feedback & Ideas Policy.
How should I submit a product idea?
Use the Beta Feedback page. Product ideas are voluntary feedback and are governed by the Shuppz Feedback & Ideas Policy. Do not include trade secrets, passwords, verification codes or information you are not authorized to disclose.
Where should I report an account or security issue?
Use Contact Shuppz and select Account & Security. Do not send passwords, passkeys, private keys, OTP codes or payment credentials in the message.
